System for evaluation of the electrical performance of an assembly comprising a membrane, e.g. an electrode-membrane-electrode assembly, which can be arranged in a fuel cell in a determined state of stress includes a device for placing the assembly (30) under the determined amount of stress and a device for measuring the electrical resistance of the assembly. The measuring device includes two contacts arranged on each side of the assembly. An independent claim is also included for a process of evaluating the electrical performance of an assembly comprising a membrane arranged in a fuel cell.
