<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an image forming device in which the space for installation is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises an image forming engine 2, a sheet eject means, a sheet stacked part arranged on the image forming engine 2 on which the sheets ejected from the sheet eject means are stacked, a scanner means for supplying original image information to the image forming engine, arranged over the sheet stacked part with a certain space in between, a support means to support the scanner means on the sheet stacked part 400 in a such a way that the space is secured between the scanner means and the sheet stacked part 400 when the sheet stacked part 400 is positioned between the image forming engine and the scanner means, and an operation panel arranged above and on one side of the space. The device is further provided with an opening between the image forming engine and the scanner means and on one side and its adjacent side of the space for taking out the sheets stacked on the sheet stacked part. The position of a bottom edge of the opening at the side of the sheet ejecting means is set to be higher than that of a sheet stacked plane of the sheet staked part at the side of the sheet ejecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
