摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain an optimum particle size without requiring a grinding stage when R-Fe-B alloy powder (R is a rare earth element including Y) is produced, by using Fe-B alloy powder of a prescribed particle size as powdery starting material. CONSTITUTION:Powder of the oxide of a rare earth element (R) including Y is mixed with Fe-B alloy powder of 1-5 mum average particle size and a reducing agent in a prescribed ratio. The powdery mixture is heated in an inert gaseous atmosphere to carry out reduction and diffusion. The residual reducing agent is then removed to obtain R-Fe-B alloy powder. This product powder of 3-7 mum average particle size is obtd. without requiring a grinding stage.
