<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can reduce the number of pages of printing media and the consumption of a printing medium and a developer by counting items of menus and the number of fonts, and by setting a layout of a menu printing and a font printing based on the counted items of menus and number of fonts. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a size detecting section for detecting the size of a printing medium, a size comparing section for comparing the size of the printing medium with printing data, and a layout modifying section for modifying a printing layout when it has been judged that the printing data is beyond the size of the printing medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
