PURPOSE:To optimize the oxide magnetic material as a magnetic core for communication with high initial permeability and low loss by adding Bi2O3 and Al2O3, to a magnetic material which is composed of Fe2O3, MnO and ZnO as major components and trace amounts of SiO2 and CaO as minor components. CONSTITUTION:In a sintering type oxide magnetic material containing ferric oxide, manganese oxide and zinc oxide as major components, (A) less than 0. 01wt.% of silicon dioxide, (B) less than 0.02wt.% of calcium oxide, as minor components, in addition, (C)0.020 to 0. 050wt.% of bismuth oxide and (D) 0.005 to 0.05wt.% of aluminum oxide are added, and the mixture is sintered at 1,300 to 1,370 deg.C. This magnetic material has initial permeability mu0 (always having a positive temperature coefficient in its temperature properties) over 18,000, relative loss coefficient tan delta/mu: less than 2.0X10<-6>. |
