<p>Aqueous HNO3 solution containing U and Pu values is contacted with an organic extractant containing diethylthiourea reducing agent. Pu(IV) values are reduced to Pu(III) and separate into the aqueous phase while U values report in the organic phase. Stripped extractant and reducing agent are recycled.</p> |
