PURPOSE: To sort a bottle for other use and clean the sorted bottle efficiently by selecting a specific color corresponding to the color of drink in the container, measuring the area of that color and making a decision whether the area comes within a predetermined range, and then sorting the container based on the decision results. CONSTITUTION: A color selector 16 prestores colors sorted according to the color of drinks and a monitor TV 26 can display only the part of selected color of an image being picked by an image pickup unit 14 and transmitted to the selector 16. The selector 16 counts the number of pixels of an image pickup unit 14 which detected a selected color on an image being picked by the image pickup unit 14. An information processor 18 receives the number of pixels of selected color from the selector 16 and makes a decision whether the number of pixels comes within a desired range stored in the selector. A bottle rejector 20 guides a bottle 10 to a course 34 or 36 depending on the output from the processor 18. |
