PURPOSE: A field emission device and a fabrication method thereof are provided to prevent a voltage drop and to improve an illumination by forming double bottom electrodes having a fine conductivity and a fine surface illumination. CONSTITUTION: A field emission device comprises a first bottom electrode(22) located on a plate(21) and patterned along an electron emission part and having a high conductivity; a second bottom electrode(23) located on the patterned bottom electrode; an anode oxidation film(24) formed at the rest part except for a part of a top part of the second bottom electrode; and a tunnel oxidation film(25) formed at the part of the top part of the second bottom electrode.
