PURPOSE:To provide a socket with latch in which position accuracy of a locking part of a latch is enhanced and a board is surely locked, by limiting the movement of the latch in the inserting/pulling out direction of a sub-board. CONSTITUTION:A tongue piece 56 to which bending work is conducted is arranged in the position facing to a locking part 50 of a metal latch 40. A slot 22 for housing the tongue piece 56 is formed in the vicinity of a latch housing room 18 of a housing 10 of a socket 1. By the tongue piece 56 housed in the slot 22, the move of the locking part 50 of the latch 40 in the inserting/pulling out direction is limited.
