PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient monitor which can remove events which are generated from varying cardiac frequency and harmonics of cardiac frequency. SOLUTION: Mixed signals from a patient are inputted in a sampler 12 within a patient monitor 4, the mixed sample from the sampler 12 is stored in a memory 20 having left and right sample monitors, periodic cardiac signals from a patient 2 is inputted in a cardiac period detector 14 and an output signal corresponding to cardiac intervals between adjacent reference points are outputted in a controller 22 corresponding to stable reference paint with a marker contained in each cardiac cycle by inputting periodic cardiac signals from the patient into the cardiac period detector 14. Further, by the memory controller 22, mixed sample pointers to the left and right of the memory 20, are updated so that the length of an adaptive window becomes the cardiac interval when the middle point is located between the two reference points and the output of the memory 20 is inputted in an invariant delay FIR filter 6 and an event generated from the harmonics relating to the cardiac frequency is removed by the FIR filter 6.
