<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that a printer automatically changes print setting and performs printing when a printer is provided with print data accompanied by the print setting, which corresponds to prohibition specification. <P>SOLUTION: A message to the effect that the print data can not be printed as the print setting corresponds to the prohibition specification is displayed, when the printer is provided with the print data accompanied by the print setting corresponding to the prohibition specification (step S5).
