PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject apparatus capable of distributing air and a solution so as to penetrate the solution to roots, hardly causing replant failure, using a medium ready for waste treatment, by covering a water impermeable root shielding block with a medium of a flat plate excellent in water retaining properties and arranging the flat plate medium so as to make the solution supplied to the medium flow downward. SOLUTION: A flexible combustible flat plate 22 excellent in water retaining properties is used as a medium, a water impermeable root shielding block 23 is covered with the flat plate medium 22 and the flat plate medium 22 is installed so that a supplied solution flows downward to give the objective apparatus 14. At least one face of the water impermeable root shielding block 23 covered with the flat plate medium 22 is provided with plural distributing channels passing from one end to the other end of the face and the distributing channels are preferably arranged approximately in parallel with the shorter direction of the solution culture apparatus. Preferably the continuous flat plate medium 22 is laid between adjoining vertical blocks of plural water impermeable root shielding blocks 23 piled in the vertical direction. |
