The actuator has an electromagnet (700) formed by a support (704) in the form of E. The electromagnet includes a magnet (702) situated in the branches of support. A mobile magnetic plate (710) comes in contact with the electromagnet. The magnet is located on a surface of the electromagnet with respect to the plate. The magnetic plate concentrates the flux of a magnetic field in the support. An Independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine comprising an electro-mechanical actuator for an inlet valve.
