<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material which shows high sensitivity, outstanding texture shelf stability and a low incidence of stain in a white image part. <P>SOLUTION: This thermosensitive recording material is structured of a thermosensitive recording layer including a microcapsule which encapsulates a diazonium salt compound represented by formula (1) and is formed of a capsule wall obtained by polymerizing isocyanate compounds (a) and (b) with a chemical compound having an active hydrogen, and a coupler, formed on a support. The compound (a) is an adduct of a chemical compound having one active hydrogen in a molecule with an average molecular weight of 500 to 20,000 with a polyfunctional isocyanate having two or more isocyanate groups in a molecule. The compound (b) is a polyfunctional isocyanate compound having three or more isocyanate groups in one molecule and a bifunctional isocyanate compound represented by formula (I): OCN-R-NHCO-(O-Ar-X-Ar-OCOHN-R-NHCO)<SB>m</SB>-O-Ar-X-Ar-OCOHN-R-NCO. In formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each an alkyl group, an aryl group or the like; R<SP>3</SP>to R<SP>6</SP>are each a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent group, provided, however, that at least either of them is -N<SB>2</SB><SP>+</SP>X<SP>-</SP>; and X<SP>-</SP>is an anion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
