FIELD: lighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: lamp base uses contact device that has removable contact electrode in the form of thin- walled metal cap with its inner surface covering end and side portions of fixed contact impedance electrode of base which is electrically connected to first filament lead; fixed contact impedance electrode in the form of flattened metal cylinder mounted in insulating paste of base and connected in standard manner to second filament lead; strip conductor running from perimeter part of removable contact electrode passed into base interior through insulating paste in gap between fixed impedance electrode cylinder and sleeve to electrically connect removable contact electrode to first filament lead. Removable contact electrode is mounted for its easy mechanical removal upon failure of first filament from fixed impedance electrode followed by its separation from base by breaking strip conductor to release contact surface of fixed impedance electrode and to reuse lamp by employing its second filament.
