<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual authentication device capable of forming the images of the blood vessel pattern and fingerprint pattern of fingers with a single image sensor in inexpensive and simple configurations and switching an authentication method as necessary. <P>SOLUTION: An image sensor 31 acquires two kinds of biological information, that is, the fingerprint pattern and the blood vessel pattern of the fingers which is obtained by emitting and transmitting infrared light 33 to the fingers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
