PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy and safe for an assisting person to bath a person to be assisted in a lying state or a bed by providing a lifting belt which connects upper sections of wall surfaces of a bathtub at a foot side and a head side of a bathing person and which can ascend and descend within the bathtub. SOLUTION: A bathtub 1 provides a belt 2 connecting a head side and a foot side, and this belt 2 can be rolled through a roller 3 by a roller 4. The roller 3, 4 and a driving section 5 are amounted in a space between a tank and outer walls of the bathtub, and the belt 2 can ascend and descend within the bathtub 1 by rolling in/out the belt. The assisting bathtub 1 like this is freely contained within the bed constituted of the head side and the foot side. At bathing, a lower body of the person to be assisted lying on the bed is moved onto the belt 2 while the bed of the foot side is being moved. When the bed is finished moving and the bathtub 1 is entirely appeared, an upper body of the person to be assisted is also moved onto the belt 2. When the belt 2 is loosened, the body of the person to be assisted is descended within the bathtub 1 by supporting belt 2.
