PURPOSE: Provided is a transparent coating composition for top coat for cars, which avoids the problems caused by a polyisocyanate curing agent, forms a flexible and elastic coating layer, and shows excellent clearness, acid resistance, shelf stability, weather resistance, hardness and durability. CONSTITUTION: The transparent coating composition for top coat for cars comprises: 40-50 wt% of a hydroxyl-containing acrylic resin; 20-30 wt% of hexamethylene diisocyanate blocked with diethyl malonate and diethyl pyrazole, used as a curing agent; 20-30 wt% of a solvent; and 0.2-1 wt% of an acid neutralizer and buffering agent. The hydroxyl-containing acrylic resin has a solid content of 60-80%, hydroxyl value of 100-150, acid value of up to 30, Tg of 30-60 deg.C and weight average molecular weight of 5,000-10,000. |
