PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for removing foreign matter in flowing water, which is mechanically simple, inexpensive and high in foreign matter removing performance. SOLUTION: The removing device is provided with a screen fixed on a drum body to collect the foreign matter in the flowing water, a scraping blade rotating on the screen to surely scrape the foreign matter stuck on the screen by a mechanical means, a gutter provided in the diameter direction to scrape away the scraped foreign matter from the screen and a foreign matter discharge pipe connected to the gutter to discharge the foreign matter in the gutter out of the system.
