PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head gear for rugby which is fitted softly and stably to a player's head. SOLUTION: The left and right joint edge parts 9L and 9R of a rear head protecting part cut off in the center of a rear part are connected to each other with extensible connecting material 15 so that the parts 9L and 9R are pulled to each other by the force of this connecting material. Furthermore, a non- extensible connector 18 is provided under the parts 9L and 9R to eliminate the reduction of fastening force which is caused by the extension of the material 15 by external force.
