PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension tube for a vacuum cleaner provided with improved productivity and reduced in size and weight by a simplified structure. SOLUTION: To a hose connected to a cleaner main body, the extension tube 17 provided with a suction port body connected to the front edge is connected, and the extension tube 17 telescopes when one end side of an inner tube 32 is slidably inserted into an outer tube 32. A terminal pin 53 connected to a male connector for the hose is arranged in the base end of the outer tube 32. A first contact 82 conducting to the terminal pin 53 and having a circumferential contact terminal piece 73 exposed on the inner circumferential face side and an axial contact terminal pin 80 protruded in the axial direction is arranged in the front edge of the outer tube 31. In the inner tube 32, a circumferential contact terminal 103 connected to the circumferential contact terminal piece 73 in the radial direction of the extension tube 17 is arranged in one end to be inserted. In the inner tube 32, an axial contact terminal connected to the axial contact terminal pin 80 in the axial direction of the extension tube 17 for conducting to the circumferential contact terminal 103 is arranged in the other end protruded from the outer tube 31. When the extension tube 17 is extended maximally or shrunk minimally as its frequent usage form, electricity can be supplied to the suction port body, so that improvement in productivity and reduction in size and weight can be accomplished by a simple structure.
