PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size, weight and cost by preventing AC power from being supplied continuously to a power supply circuit in which an abnormality has occurred. SOLUTION: The power supply comprises a power supply circuit 12 being connected with an AC power supply through a switch 13, a power supply circuit 11 being connected with an AC power supply not through the switch 13, a controller 22 operating with a DC output voltage from the power supply circuit 11 to output a command signal, and a SW drive circuit 14 provided in the power switch 12 in order to supply AC power to the power supply circuit 12 or interrupt AC power supply thereto by turning the switch 13 on/off according to a command signal delivered from the controller 22. A monitor section 15 monitors the operating state of the power supply circuit 12 detected at detecting sections 17, 19 and 20 and when an abnormality is detected in the operating state, the switch 13 is interrupted forcibly thus interrupting AC power supply to the power supply circuit 12.
