METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TIRE BY HIGHLY FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a tire into an accurate shape by automatically and accurately performing an arrangement of members. SOLUTION: In a multi-station sequential tire manufacturing system 10, a carcass 4 is formed on a carcass assembling drum 22 and a tread belt 3 is formed on a tread assembling drum 32, the tread assembling drum 32 assembled with the tread belt 3 is inserted into a mold 50 and pressed against the inside surface of the mold and the tread assembling drum 32 is detached after folding it. Next, the mold 50 is closed after the carcass assembling drum 22 assembled with the carcass 4 is inserted in the mold 50 and the carcass 4 is pressed against the inside surface of the tread belt 3 after the carcass 4 is expanded. A tire assembled body thus produced is cured and removed from the mold 50. After the last tire in a lot of one type tire is passed, each of an operation station 11-16 and 71-74 is automatically changed to a tire specification for a next type tire.
