PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for removing burr from a welded part which does not cause defects, such as over-removal and remaining of the removal etc. of the burr from the welded part even when unevenness in a butting angle at the end parts of starting and finishing of winding occurs. SOLUTION: (1) The apparatus for removing the burr from the welded part, is provided with a measuring instrument 30 for measuring the butting angle at the end part of the burr-removal objective material 12, and a burr-removal cutting edge height position adjusting mechanism 50 for automatically adjusting the height position of the burr-removal cutting edge 15 to profiling rollers 13 on the basis of the measured result of the measuring instrument 30. (2) The method for removing the burr from the welded part comprises: measuring the butting angle at the end part of the burr-removal objective material 12; automatically adjusting the height position of the burr-removal cutting edge 15 to the profiling rollers 13 on the basis of the measured result; and removing the burr from the welded part.
