PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide imaging apparatus preventing deterioration in image quality without damaging operability as much as possible in accordance with setting sensitivity even though fixed pattern noise of a sensor fluctuates by an environmental condition such as ambient temperature to photograph a dark image for generating the fluctuation correction data. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus that requires a dark fixed pattern noise correction value different in each sensitivity, when dark image data is required by an environmental condition such as ambient temperature at photographing, an image range to be used is changed to capture dark in accordance with set sensitivity, and a projection operation is performed to generate a one-dimensional dark fixed pattern noise correction value. Then, in development processing, dark fixed pattern noise correction using this correction data is performed.
