It is possible to provide a connection support device and a gateway device capable of easily managing information and easily and securely performing remote access to a gateway device from a user terminal. The connection support device includes: control means for controlling the gateway device to be connected to a user terminal so as to allow connection from a user terminal whose authentication has been successful, and communication means for providing connection information for connection to the gateway device, to the user terminal.
