<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system capable of providing a service in accordance with a position in a space. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 32 obtains authentication information by using data received from communication apparatuses 31-1, 31-2 in a communication available area 41AB being an area wherein a communication available area 41A of a directivity antenna 41-1 of the communication apparatus 31-1 and a communication available area 41B of a directivity antenna 41-2 of the communication apparatus 31-2 are overlapped. Thereafter, the mobile terminal 32 transmits authentication information to a communication apparatus 31-3 in a communication available area 41C of a directivity antenna 41-3 of the communication apparatus 31-3 to be authenticated by the communication apparatus 31-3, a key of a door 151 is unlocked to permit a user of the mobile terminal 32 to enter inside the door 151.
