Pneumatic spring with L-shaped gas chamber and volume adjustment device

First chamber 4 is in fluid communication with and is oriented to second chamber 5 at 70 to 110o, and typically 90o. Actuating member 5 extends slidably through the lower end of chamber 4. An adjustment device is provided for varying the volume so as to adjust pressurised gas volume in the chambers 4 and 9, thereby adjusting the force on actuating member 5. The spring is typically used for desk height adjustment as shown.
