A method for manufacturing a fluorescent lamp is provided to enhance productivity of the fluorescent lamp by preventing interference caused by a diameter difference between a glass tube and an external electrode. A supply process is performed to discharge glass tubes one by one along a guide groove by using a glass tube supply hopper(5) and to supply the glass tubes to glass tube holding grooves of a glass tube holding plate of a fluorescent lamp transfer member. A supporting process is performed to support both sides of the glass tube loaded into the glass tube holding grooves of the glass tube holding plate by using a glass tube fixing holder formed at an upper part of a supporting bracket of an external electrode insertion member(7) and a glass tube fixing holder coupled with a piston of a cylinder. An inserting process is performed to insert an external electrode positioned in a V-shaped groove of a striking pin guide of the external electrode insertion member through a chute(20) into both ends of the glass tube by using a striking pin.
