<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required to make the temperature of a fixing roller attain fixing feasible temperature by supplying power to a second fixing heater from an auxiliary power source even in a period when a rush current flows without necessitating a special mechanism such as a rush current prevention circuit. <P>SOLUTION: In the initial time of drive of a fixing heater, a control part allows a first fixing heater to generate heat by power from a commercial power source 8, and also sets a booster device 723 in a drive stop state by a PWM controller 723c and an MOS transistor 723b, so as to allow a second fixing heater 732 generate heat by power from a capacitor device 722. After the rush current of the second fixing heater 732 is lowered, the control part sets the booster device 723 in a driven state by the PWM controller 723c and the MOS transistor 723b, so as to supply power from the capacitor device 732 boosted by the booster device 723, to the second fixing heater 732. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
