<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility equipment management system using a handy RFID reader/writer which eliminates an inputting device for key inputting and a display function with a display by making use of a cellular phone machine, and is manufactured at low cost and advantageous in its miniaturization. <P>SOLUTION: When a service personnel visits a restaurant to perform the maintenance of kitchen equipment, he/she carries an RFID reader/writer 1 and a cellular phone machine 40 with him/her. The function for generating data to be stored in an IC tag 30 and the function for referring to the data stored in the IC tag are left to the cellular phone machine 40 and software which is executed on the cellular phone machine 40. The RFID reader/writer 1 is specialized in the function for exchanging data with the IC tag 30.
