PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control refrigerant circulation quantity in cooling operation at low outside air temperatures without needing a significant change of existing part specifications or design items. SOLUTION: In cooling operation at low-outside air temperature, the opening of an expansion valve and/or the rotating speed of an outdoor fan of an outdoor heat exchanger are controlled so that temperature difference Tx (=Te-Ti) between temperature Te of the outdoor heat exchanger and temperature Ti of an indoor heat exchanger is settled within a preset predetermined range. Concretely, the opening of the expansion valve is adjusted in a state where the rotating speed of the outdoor fan is reduced by a predetermined portion than general cooling operation, and the rotating speed of the outdoor fan is then adjusted while fixing the opening of the expansion valve so that Tx is substantially constant.
