PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus capable of easily, simply and accurately detecting an ink presence status in an ink feeding path between an inkjet head and an ink tank, in the ink tank and in the inkjet head. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus performs recording using a recording head 401 which ejects the ink supplied through the ink feeding path 76 from the ink tank 501. Electric current flows in the ink feeding path 76 using a terminal provided in the recording head 401. The ink presence status in the ink feeding path 76 is detected by detecting an intermediate potential between the resistance relating to the ink status in the ink feeding path 76 through which electric current flows and the voltage divider resistance connected in series with the resistance in the ink feeding path, wherein the terminal provided in the recording head 401 is electrically connected to the side whose impedance is lower, in between the ground of a detection circuit.
