<p>PURPOSE: A structure for connecting an inlet tube and an outlet tube for coolant of a heater core is provided to form the heater core to be compact. CONSTITUTION: A discharge hole(3a) is bored into one side of a lower tank(3). A block(30) with a channel(31) formed therein to penetrate in L-shape is fixed to the discharge hole. A coolant outlet tube(7) is connected to an outlet of the block. A fixing bracket(40) is fixed on an upper side of the block to fix the coolant outlet tube. The block is formed to be boxy, and has the channel whose inlet side is opened toward a side thereof, and outlet side is opened toward an upper side thereof. A tubular insertion piece(32) is inserted to the discharge hole of the lower tank, and formed on the inlet side of the channel so that an end thereof protrudes from the side of the block. A mounting part is formed around the outlet side of the channel to be stepped so as to allow the coolant outlet tube to be mounted thereon. Bolt grooves are formed on both sides of the mounting part. The discharge hole and the insertion piece of the block are formed to be oval or to be long holes to allow coolant to smoothly flow in.</p> |
