A method, apparatus and system for coordinated content distribution inclu de identifying a respective content type and a destination for the content t o be distributed, selecting a respective packaging service for packaging the content based on at least the content type and selecting a respective deliv ery service for distribution of the content based on at least the destinatio n of the content. In various embodiments, when content is ready for packagin g a request is communicated to the selected respective packaging service. Su bsequently, a request for delivery is communicated to the selected delivery service for delivering the packaged content. The present invention provides an automated media distribution workflow that controls and monitors automate d distribution tasks which are integrated with user driven tasks.
