<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of dispensing with input of an ID number, a password, or the like particularly in a printing processing, and solving a disadvantage such as a cost burden caused by introduction of a printer server. <P>SOLUTION: Authentication information such as facial portrait is formed on a personal computer 2 side which transmits printing data, and transmitted to a printer device 1 with merging in the printing data. On the printer device 1 side, the authentication information included in the printing data is separated, an image of a user is taken by an authentication camera 6c provided in the printer device 1, and the authentication information supplied from the personal computer 2 is collated with the authentication information formed on the printer device 1 side. Only when the both are matched together, printing processing of the printing data is carried out.
