PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal antenna which, when a contact spring of a lower stage antenna element gets into the diameter expanded section of a lower cylindrical antenna element, gives a user a feel of continuous and integral sliding motion.SOLUTION: A portable terminal antenna 1 comprises an upper cylindrical antenna element 21 and a lower stage rod-like cylindrical antenna element 22 retractably housed in the cylindrical antenna element 21. A conductive contact spring 222 sliding along and touching the inner peripheral face of the cylindrical antenna element 21 is provided around the top edge vicinity of the rod-like cylindrical antenna element 22, and a diameter expanded section 213 is provided near the top edge of the cylindrical antenna element 21. A conductive cylindrical member 5 which the contact spring 222 slides along and touches is fitted in under pressure inside the diameter expanded section 213, and the inner periphery face of a base section 211 of the cylindrical antenna element 21 and the inner periphery face of the cylindrical member 5 are made to be substantially flush with each other. |
