PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device controlling a hybrid vehicle to improve fuel economy appropriately.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: control means controlling a hybrid vehicle to set an electric mode as a travel mode when a charge cost F, which indicates a fuel consumption required to accumulate a unit power into power storage means, is less than an engine cost H, which indicates a fuel consumption required for the hybrid vehicle to output a unit travel output without using a power of a rotary electrical machine, and to set an engine mode as the travel mode when the charge cost is greater than the engine cost; and adjustment means adjusting the charge cost so as to make a value that is obtained by subtracting a predetermined amount from the existing charge cost, to be a new charge cost when a time taken for warming a catalyst device at the present time is shorter than that at the last travel time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
