PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray tube capable of improving x-ray intensity without using beryllium.SOLUTION: An x-ray tube 1 comprises a substrate 4, a container part 3, an electrode part 11, and an x-ray transmission window 5. The substrate 4 is made of a metal material in which an opening 6 is formed. The box-shaped container part 3 is mounted on the substrate 4 so that the inside thereof becomes a vacuum state. The electrode part 11 includes a linear cathode 8 for electron emission and control electrodes 9 and 10 for controlling the emitted electron, and is provided in the container part 3. The x-ray transmission window 5 is made of titanium formed so as to close the opening 6, functions as an x-ray target which uses a characteristic X-ray generated from the titanium when an electron from the cathode 8 collides against the x-ray target, and transmits the generated x-ray.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
