The present invention provides a spring device capable of providing a hysteresis property and a kick-down property in a simple method, and a foot pedal. The spring device (16) for returning the foot pedal (10) to an initial position includes: a spring member (20, 22) which can be contracted in an axial direction; a housing (18) for accommodating the spring member (20, 22) in a method in which an end of the spring member is supported; and a support member (28) supporting the other end of the spring member (20, 22) and transmitting power generated by the spring device (16) to a pedal lever (14) of the foot pedal. The support member (28) includes a friction member (34) generating a frictional force on the inner surface of the housing (18) when the support member moves in the housing (18). When the spring member (20, 22) is contracted by the pedal lever (14), the friction member (34) expands the diameter thereof so the frictional force is increased. When the spring member (20, 22) is expanded, the friction member (34) reduces the diameter thereof so the frictional force is reduced. Therefore, the power applied to the pedal lever (14) has hysteresis. |
