Provided is an inexpensive, compact, and highly reliable power conversion device with which there is no concern that an inadvertently outputted high-harmonic current will induce distortion in a power system. In a three-phase three-winding transformer A, the neutral points of same-phase pairs of phase windings in each of a secondary winding and a tertiary winding are connected to each other for the secondary winding and the tertiary winding. The present invention is provided with positive-side unit arms Up, Vp, Wp and negative-side unit arms Un, Vn, Wn in each of which two units C are connected in series, each unit C being formed by connecting in parallel a capacitor and a leg in which two self-extinguishing switching elements are connected in series. One end of each positive-side unit arm is connected to the positive side of a direct-current power supply B, and the other end is connected to the phase output ends of the secondary winding of the three-phase three-winding transformer A. One end of each negative-side unit arm is connected to the negative side of the direct-current power supply B, and the other end is connected to the phase output ends of the tertiary winding of the three-phase three-winding transformer A. |
