RECORD ERASING METHOD, RECORD ERASER, AND RECORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance work efficiency by ensuring good erasability even if a reversible thermal recording medium is carried at a high speed.

SOLUTION: In the record eraser 34, a reversible thermal recording sheet 26 being fed by a sheet feeding means (not shown) is introduced between a recording surface guide member 2 and a non-recording surface guide member 3 by means of a pair of carry rollers 12. A ceramic heater 4 and a heat insulating material 6 are provided on the rear surface of the recording surface guide member 2 whereas a ceramic heater 5 and a heat insulating material 7 are provided on the rear surface of the non-recording surface guide member 3. The non-recording surface guide member 3 is supported by a fixed frame 19 whereas the recording surface guide member 2 is supported by a movable frame 9 sliding while being urged by a spring 11 and the reversible thermal recording sheet 26 is carried between both guide members while abutting. Abrupt temperature variation is suppressed by the thermal capacity of the guide member at the time of erasure and the recorded content can be erased while carrying the recording sheet at a high speed.
