PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a cam lobe member to an operation state or a stop state.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: A variable valve device A of an internal combustion engine comprises: a first annular member 40 which is connected to a drive arm 20 fixed to a drive shaft 10, and arranged concentrically at the drive shaft; a cam lobe member 60 which is connected to the first annular member via a connecting mechanism 50; and a second annular member 70 which has an eccentric support part 71 for rotatably supporting the first annular member at an eccentric position with respect to the drive shaft, and is rotatable with respect to the drive shaft in order to change the eccentric position. A connecting mechanism comprises a second link member 51, a link constraint member 100 and a clutch mechanism 110, the second link member has a second end 55 connected to the link constraint member, the link constraint member is rotatably arranged at the drive shaft, and constrains the second end in a position apart from and an axial core X of the drive shaft by a constant distance R1 in a radial direction, and the clutch mechanism makes a link constraint plate and the cam lobe member engaged with each other and disengaged from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
