A backlight unit according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a bottom chassis; a light source which is located on the bottom chassis; a reflection sheet located on the bottom chassis; at least one optical sheet which is located on the light source and the reflection sheet; and a support body which is fixed to the bottom chassis and supports the optical sheet. The support body includes a combination part combined with bottom chassis and a support part extended from the combination part. The combination part is located under the reflection sheet. Therefore, light can be uniformly provided to a LCD panel.
