A voltage generating device according to the present invention comprises: an internal voltage generating unit which pumps an external voltage to generate an internal voltage; and a capacitance adjusting unit which includes a capacitive load unit, which receives a pumping period signal and delivers the pumping period signal to the internal voltage generating unit, and selectively adjusts a capacitance of the capacitive load unit based on the external voltage. The internal voltage generating unit performs a pumping operation in response to the pumping period signal outputted from the capacitance adjusting unit. According to the present invention, a large capacitance can be obtained without increasing an area, which enhances a pumping driving capability. |
