1. A paint brash comprising:
a handle defining an axis extending from a first end to an opposite second end; a bristle carrier plate fixed directly to the handle at one of the first and second ends; and a plurality of bundles of bristles inserted into the bristle carrier plate through receiving openings such that the bristles extend substantially parallel to the axis from a first end to a free end, and wherein the bristles of each bundle of bristles are connected to the bristle carrier plate the first at ends of the bristles that are inserted through an associated one of the receiving openings, and wherein the first ends of the bristles of each bundle are connected to each other; a collar held fixed relative to the handle to surround the bundles of bristles and wherein the collar extends from the bristle carrier plate towards the free ends of the bristles; and wherein the bristle carrier plate comprises a grid-like body that includes the receiving openings, and wherein the collar comprises a first collar extending from one end of the grid-like body and including a second collar extending from an opposite end of the grid-like body, the second collar being fixed to the handle and the first collar surrounding the bristles.
