Provided is a transaction device, wherein (1) the device allows deposits and withdrawals of a first currency to be made, (2) the device is provided with a display unit which displays a description of a transaction, and a transaction processing unit which carries out the transaction using the display unit and an inserted medium, and (3) when a withdrawal transaction is carried out in the first currency using a second currency which corresponds to the medium, the transaction processing unit carries out a settlement selection process which accepts a selection as to whether to use a settlement rate as of the time of the withdrawal, or a subsequent settlement rate, as the exchange rate between the first currency and the second currency. |
