A method for obtaining audio files is disclosed in the present application, which is used for solving the problem that an audio playing device can not obtain updated audio files in time in the prior art. The method comprises that: the audio playing device receives an audio file update notification; responding to the audio file update notification, the audio playing device prompts to update; the audio playing device receives an audio file obtaining instruction; responding to the audio file obtaining instruction, the audio playing device obtains the updated audio files. An audio playing device, and a method, device and system for sending an update notification are also disclosed in the present application.
