<p>The record case may be rectangular or may be a cylinder which is 2% larger in dia. than the records which it is intended to hold. Two rigid end faces are linked together by a cylindrical side wall, one of the faces being provided with a carrying handle. A stand supports the cylinder so that the records are held upright. The cylinder is constructed in two halves, the lower half forming the base, and the upper half the cover. Grooves around the inside of the case hold the records in place, preventing any contact with their playing surfaces. Corrugated material may be used to form the grooves which retain the records.</p> |
