The storage cupboard comprises at least one horizontal panel (101) which can be rotated on a vertical axle (102) fixed to the base (103) and to the top of the cupboard. The cupboard comprises a rear panel (104), sides (105,106) and a front panel (107) with a door (108) which may have one or two leaves. The vertical axle (102) is positioned on a point offset towards the door (108), so as to maximise the radius of the circle (111) described in the horizontal and inner section of the wardrobe when the door is open. The panel (101) occupies a surface covering the largest circle (111) and has one face (112) cut along a chord (113) following the inner surface of the door when shut.
